01 Jul 2011 – Planning consent granted at appeal in Alton

Millngate maintain their 100% success record, with planning permission for retail use having been obtained on all sites they have secured.  In this instance, the initial non food consent was negotiated by Millngate and then Tesco took on the task of converting the consent from non food to food and substantially increasing the floor area.

This coincides with the recent granting of consent for a Tesco Extra in Harrogate on a former British Gas site sold by Millngate to Tesco whilst working with Miller Developments (See History).

It is envisaged that Tesco will start construction work in early 2012.
